Just Because

Owen is actually sleeping in his crib for the THIRD day in a row! Whoop! He never, ever naps in his crib, so I feel like I should do something with my new found free time! I'm praying HARD that this keeps up. At almost 14 months, he should learn how to sleep on his own for naps. Seriously.

So I felt like doing a little blog post. Here are some recent pictures of the Owenator. He is just so busy these days, and loves to play, play, play! These pictures basically consist of what my days are like!

Owen LOVES to crawl around all day. And get into everything!

He LOVES being chased around, my knees are getting dry & bruised!

This picture just looked better in b&w, this is when I "found" him around the corner!

I recently made Owen a "homemade" toy, its a hit:

He loves to put the "tokens" in...

Then pour them out!

A couple of weeks ago, I went to the bathroom for like 30 seconds, forgotten I left the goldfish out... and came back out to this:

Owen needs another (his THIRD!) haircut in the WORST way, he has been mistaken for a girl already. BOO. But I am just having the hardest time cutting off these CUTE baby curls.

But he's starting to look a little scruffy! So, I've given in. Tomorrow he is getting it cut by my sweet visiting teacher.

Goodbye curls :(

And finally, this boy LOVES his mac n' cheese! He is SO stinkin' picky, I can hardly get him to eat, but mac n' cheese is always a sure winner!

Hope you enjoyed another OWEN-MANIA post! Buts seriously... this is what my days are like! We only have one working car right now, and are actually going to sell it when its fixed up anyways. So... I don't really get out much, AT ALL. So this is what we do!

PS. He is still alseep in his crib! (almost an hour! WHOOP!)

It Won't be Long Now...

...Before Owen is walking!! And destroying the house even more! He is starting to get the hang of his walker, and he will take small mini steps to Shad or I. But nothing beyond those mini steps on his own yet. He still needs to learn some balance. But its fun to watch him push his little walker around! :)

And he's off..
Waving Bye-bye!

Here is a video of him using the walker. The first half is the first night that he really attempted it by himself, he was a little out of control! He has more control and a leisurely pace in the second part! It's a little long (2 Minutes), but its for the grandma's out there! :) And... I just LOVE his gibber gabber when he's walking around!

Spring Break 2011

Last week was Shad's last Spring Break... ever! We were going to try and do something more exciting like go to Disneyland or something. But since funds are so low, we were responsible and just traveled over the west side. Shad had set up some lunches with some local lawyers over there, and wanted to get a jump on getting some resume's out. And I helped plan and put together my best friend's (Kambria) bridal shower. Sadly, Owen was sick most of our trip over there with some sort of stomach bug. So it put a little damper on the trip and travel. Especially when we tried to drive back Sunday, and half an hour into the trip Owen had 2 blowouts, and a big-boy vomit. So we turned around and came back Monday morning instead. Luckily he seems to be over it now. Thank goodness!

However, the shower was a raving success!! I had so much fun planning with Kambria, her mom, and other bridesmaids for the event. It came together so nicely. And got me even MORE excited for her upcoming wedding!

Some pics from the shower:

The Bride and her momma!

We had lots of fun with the decorations! It was SO Kambria!

And then there was the food... Mmmmm.

I did some games too... so fun!
Me with the lovely bride!

And just because... Yesterday I told Owen to say 'cheese' and he did!! It was so funny. It's one of the few words he can actually say! Love him!

In some other news, it looks like Shad and I will be moving out of Spokane. We got out of our lease early, due some differences we had with the office and disagreements. And we didn't want to stay until the end of May and pay for a whole month more of rent when we could leave as early as April. Shad will stay with some friends the first week of May and stick around to finish up some finals, and then we'll drive back over for graduation. So it looks like for the summer we will be moving over to Auburn with my family, while Shad takes the bar and looks for jobs. Mainly to save on rent and other expenses, and because we've always known that is where we want to live (Seattle/Tacoma area). So here's to keeping our fingers crossed that he finds a job!! I am more sad about this than I thought I would be about leaving. Mainly because we have made such wonderful friends here in Spokane, and they will be greatly missed. And we have LOVED our ward so much.
