Photo Shoot

This week, with the weather finally being nice enough, I was able to do something I absolutely LOVE, which would be photography. Our good friends the Green's have a little girl who just recently turned 1, and is probably the CUTEST baby ever, and asked me to take some family photos to commemorate the event. I was so grateful for the opportunity to get outside and use my camera, and practice some photography. It's hard being away from Utah, when people aren't getting married every week to keep up. Plus I have had some experience in doing studio baby photography but nothing outside of that. Chasing a one year old is HARD work, phew! Plus she pretty much does her own thing, so posing her is not an option. Also Shad was my wonderful side kick, helping me change lenses, and doing crazy jumping stunts to entertain little Allie!! At least he got the adults laughing!
So thank you Shad, for being wonderful. And Thank You Greens, for letting me take these fun pics. I had a great time, and I got to take pictures of the cutest baby around! I'm really excited about them, and I think they turned out pretty okay. Here are a few of my favs:

ANNOUNCING....!!!

...My Acceptance!!! To Gonzaga University School of Education!

Ok... So here is the full story:
Getting a Master's is something that I have always wanted to do and teaching was always the career path I wanted to follow. There isn't much else to do with a degree in History! However, then came Shad, and marriage, and law school. So I sort of put these aspirations aside for a bit. Then Shad and I decided that we really wanted to try and have babies, but unfortunately for us that is isn't going to be as easy. As this past year as has slowly gone by, and our attempts to have children have failed. I've decided that this is my only oportunity to pursue this particular dream. I was tried of sitting around feeling sorry for myself and obsessing over this, and the timing just felt right. Shad still has two years left of Law School, and this Master's program is only 13 months!!! (Whoop!) Thus, I mustered up all my courage, and after careful prayer and fasting, we decided this was something that I should really try. And Voila!! ... Here is my official acceptance letter to Gonzaga!! ( I actually found out a week ago with a phone call, but the letter came today!) They only accept 20 people!!! And after 13 months of CRAZINESS and long days I will be the proud owner of a teaching certificate, and Master's degree from Gonzaga. As well as Shad and I buried in student loans up to our ears! Shad and I will both have undergraduate degrees from BYU, and graduate degrees from Gonzaga! Whoo!!  This is totally scary, and every day I have doubts weather or not I should really do this. But, hey this is a once in a lifetime opportunity, right!?!

NEW COUCH!!

So today has pretty much turned out to be one of the best days I've had in a long time. The sun has FINALLY made its way over to Spokane, and its a wonderful 70 degrees today! Along with that, I got off early enough to enjoy the sun, and talk with my long lost friend Kjirstin, who I miss terribly... but it was so great to talk to her! Plus, its TV Tuesday, which means we got American Idol and Biggest Loser on tonight! YAY! But to really top it off, our COUCH arrived!!! Yup, we ordered this puppy two weeks ago, and I have been anxiously awaiting its arrival! Shad and I have been living with a small/loveseat/not-so-plush Ikea couch, which don't get me wrong has done us well, but it was time to move on to BIGGER and better things! This wasn't the color I was expecting, but hey its new, fancy, and I love it!

Shad was a good model!

Spring Break... A Wedding... and a Whole Lot of Driving!

Shad had Spring Break a couple of weeks ago, so I decided that I also wanted to take it off from work to be with him. We don't get a whole 10 days together that often! So we left on Saturday morning and spent a couple days in Idaho Falls with my AWESOME friend Kasey. And then we decided that we just wanted to go down to Utah to hang out with family and see our newest nephew Konner. We really didn't have much of a plan when we got there, so it was just a lot of calling up old roommates, friends, and family to play. As well as gorging out on all our favorite places to eat including: Rumbi, Burger Supreme, Kneaders, Smoke House, and Brick Oven! Mmm... It was a fun week to relax. Probably the least stressful vacation we had, just chilled around Provo. However, we drove back on Saturday caught up on school work and work... and then DROVE BACK DOWN on Friday night to be there for Shad's sister, Heather, wedding! It was INSANE! We got there Saturday morning at 3 AM... had the wedding on Saturday March 21st, and then drove back Sunday night... hit a massive snow storm in Montana and made it back by 4 AM on Monday. And hit school and work the next day. It was crazy, but I think that we will both admit it was a great time and totally worth seeing Heather get sealed to her new husband and kids. But we are definitely NOT driving back down to Utah anytime soon.  So I went a little photo CRAZY as the "unofficial" photographer at Heather's wedding, so beware I am posting A LOT for family to see and this is the first time I really got to utilize my new D60 and computer together! YAY! Plus there are TONS TONS more that turned out well.
